Great job replacing the injectors in my 2006 Dodge. Tom was quick to respond to emails and I was able to have the truck towed up from Calgary at a great price. The injectors were diagnosed and replaced quickly and at very reasonable rates. I'd recommend checking with Tom at XL before letting another shop handle the job.

Took my 2012 Ram 3500 Cummins to Tom and Spenser, they took the time to explain the truck, options and helped me add power, torque and at the same time saved me on fuel. Great service, friendly, approachable and easy to deal with, no middle men, you actually get to talk to your mechanic! I had called around and the guys made it feel right and very competitive pricing.
I highly recommend and know I will use them for all my truck repairs moving forward.

My mom and dad made a trip to Alberta from the island for a summer vacation and on their way up they ran into cooling issues on the truck, made it to Red Deer ok but was not comfortable driving it the way it was back to the island. XL mechanical was amazing and had him back up and running in no time with unreal service and timeline. He wants me to say thank you for the amazing service and when ever he is out that way again, if he has any issues he WILL be back in to see you.

I bought a lemon of a truck, I originally took it to Dodge to get looked at then brought it to XL Mechanical. He looked over everything Dodge wanted to do and said most of it was fine but other issues. My truck was smoking like a coal plant when it went in and he persisted and found the problem, wrong pistons and a list of other things. They know these trucks inside and out and only fix the problems that need to be fixed. He kept me informed the whole time he was working on it explaining why a fix was needed. Gave me the option of used parts or new parts. If you want your truck fixed right the first time take it to XL Mechanical.

I live in Moose Jaw Sask. , my 2003 Dodge Ram was smoking a little white when idling , while at work I was talking to one guy I work with who is from the Lacombe Alberta area and he recommended XL Mechanical in Blackfalds Alberta , after calling a few shops in my area to get prices I then called XL Mechanical , I liked what he had to say on the phone he wasn't just going to throw new parts at it before finding out what was wrong.
I took my truck 720km to XL mechanical in Blackfalds and it was well worth it.
Tom explained the steps he was going to take to find what injectors were bad...he did end up replacing six injectors. ..
The quality of service and the quality of work and the pricing was EXCELLENT. ..I was very pleased and well worth the 720km drive to Blackfalds. ..

My 2006 5.9 Cummins was giving indications of potential injector problems. I called around, did the typical google search's, called Tom at XL, ended up driving 800 km to get him to change all the injectors, check rail pressure, general check over. I have been around quite a while, and know enough about mechanical and other things to know when someone is blowing smoke or knows their stuff. My opinion, and my money, is on XL knowing their stuff. I now have another 5.9 that will be heading out first thing we can get the timing right in the new year for a complete set of injectors and a general check over.

So I brought out the other truck and was told it had broken rings, needed a complete overhaul. The signs I was seeing didn't tell me this, so I took it elsewhere. They hooked up the scan tool, started turning off injectors. #2 didn't make a difference, changed it for #1, now #1 didn't make a difference. Changed all injectors, didn't need an overhaul. In otherwords, if in doubt, verify.
